This little inn is nestled along the water on Whidbey Island, one of my favorite islands off Seattle with a ton of things to do. They also offer spa services like massages. What’s more, the property features quirky amenities like a thrift shop, tea trailer, art gallery, and Finnish-style sauna. These refurbished beauties from the 50s and 60s include all the vintage charm you’d expect from the area, but they’ve been updated to include modern conveniences. This resort has a few different accommodation options, but the most unique are the vintage RV trailers. The property has a lot of quirky places to stay for families of all sizes, but the showstopper is Alexanders Castle. This unique hotel is right in downtown Spokane too, which makes it perfect for exploring my favorite Spokane attractions. Locals also know that the Peacock Lounge makes some of the best craft cocktails in the city. There’s a wraparound balcony that gives you bird-eye views of the opulent lobby and dining room. It includes ornate decorative molding, chandeliers, funky wallpaper, and luxurious details throughout. I usually steer clear of chains for more boutique hotels, but this award-winning building is out of control beautiful. This historic, 4-star hotel is part of the Marriott’s Autograph Collection. I haven’t been here yet, but I can’t stop thinking about soaking in the pools until my skin turns to prunes! It includes various pools both indoor and out overlooking the beautiful Washington landscape. The adult-only boutique hotel has an airy, minimalist quality to it with neutral decor throughout. It’s nestled right in downtown Leavenworth among some of the best restaurants, yet it’s secluded thanks to its location overlooking the Waterfront Park and Wenatchee River. I’ve been ogling over this cool hotel in Washington state since it opened. You can grab your food and drink to enjoy in the lobby that’s decorated to look like a library-meets-living room. ![]() There’s also a tiny cafe in the lobby doling out incredible breakfast and serving craft cocktails for happy hour. While there are bunk room and shared bathroom options, there are private ensuite rooms, super clean and inspiring vintage decor, and an incredible Scandinavian-style bath house. It’s built in a historic elementary school that was refurbished to be a posh boutique hotel meets hostel. This is one of the most unique hotels in Washington that I’ve stayed at.
